UK: Claimant Count Change down 36.7K in October
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The number of unemployment people in the UK fell by 36.7K in October, following a 42.8K drop registered in September, National Statistics reported on Wednesday. This result is below the expected 35K decrease. The Claimant Count Rate was at 3.8%, following a 3.9% reading.
The ILO Unemployment Rate slid to 7.4% in October, from 7.6% in September, against forecasts of remaining at the same level. Average Earnings excluding Bonus rose 0.8% in the three months to October, following a 0.8% reading in the three months to September. Average Earnings including Bonus increased 0.9%, in comparison with 0.8% growth.
