Eurozone March final CPI bang on expectations

The consumer prices in the 19-nation bloc steadied in March, and match expectations, the Eurostat revealed on Wednesday.

Euro area annual inflation was 1.5% in March, same as that seen in Feb. Core figures also came in line with estimates at 0.7% on yearly basis. On monthly basis, consumer prices in the bloc increased to 0.8% following a 0.4% result in Feb, matching estimates of 0.8%.
